Call for Papers about Open Innovation

SUPER COMPUTER'S OF COIMBRA UNIVERSITY WILL 'GIVE' MORE THAN 3.5 MILLION HOURS FOR PORTUGUESE SCIENCE



The supercomputer, which uses Sun Microsystems technology, is the largest computer calculation of Portuguese scientific and Portugal is already one of the biggest international projects in advanced computing.

The most powerful computational system for calculating scientific existing in Portugal 'distributed' approximately 3.5 million hours of time of calculation by 34 scientific projects related to the areas of Physics, Chemistry, Biochemistry / Biophysics , Mathematics, Engineering and Chemical Engineering Informatics.

The total use of CPU requested by competitors in the competition for the allocation of time in the supercomputer Milipeia exceeded 5.6 million hours.
